Playing piano is more than learning about music.
Studying a musical instrument not only fosters an appreciation and love for music, it instills confidence, self-discipline, poise and encourages intellectual and creative growth.
A Comprehensive Method Produces Success
My goal as a musician and teacher is to nurture a lifelong love of music by helping my students achieve their highest musical potential. I arrange for success in each and every lesson as well as inspire them to pursue musical achievements they never thought attainable. Students play music in a variety of piano styles while developing a solid technique. Lessons include music theory, sight-reading, ear training, memorization and performance. Playing by ear, composing, ensemble playing and accompanying are also encouraged.
Discover the depths of your natural musical talent.
I have taught students of all ages and levels for over 30 years. Through encouragement and sound, reliable instruction, I guide my students toward finding their own musical expressiveness, often unlocked for the first time. I find that with communication between the teacher, student and parents, students have the support and encouragement they need to reach their fullest potential.
Mastering the Piano
Being a performer as well as a teacher has given me first hand insights into the performance experience. I share with students the most efficient ways to learn music, to perform musically and to play with a beautiful tone and free technique; a gift that lasts a lifetime.
About Me
I currently have several openings for private students and welcome students who wish to take lessons virtually. I teach beginners of all ages who want to start their educational foundation with a fun, rewarding start to making music. I also teach transfer students who've studied previously (including adults) and am known for my ability to repair a student's piano technique, boost sight reading ability, and teach a wide variety of piano styles to suit a student's taste and life-long goals.
